Artist's Comments
This is the first panel (well, technically first two panels, but that would just get confusing) of a comic series I've just started called "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman," a title I got from James Joyce's totally confusing book "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man." It's more or less based off my life, the "artist" being myself. My characters don't actually take corporeal form (I'm not a schizo--seriously!!!) but oftentimes, they might as well. This is the intro, I guess you could call it; the woman in red is Morag the pyromaniac Vampire.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
